Currant sweater as a classic stitch-counted pattern with short video-instructions for elements and techniques used in the design so that you will be sure you’re doing them right (NOT a full-time video from scratch to the finished piece)

You will have to obtain the gauge:
20 sts and 31 rows in stockinette stitch (or reverse stockinette stitch) in 10x10 swatch on 4.00 mm (US 6) needles after blocking.

Carefully calculated and tested for 7 sizes:
0-9 (68-74cm) months, 12-18 months (80-86 cm), 2-3 years (92-98 cm), 4-5 years (104-110 cm), 6-7 years (116-122cm), 8-9 years (128-134 cm), 10-11 years (140-146 cm)

Yarn: Air Drops (150 m /50 g) or Lana Gatto Super Soft (125 m /50 g) or any other DK weight yarn with
similar characteristics.
Total – 4 (4,4, 5, 6, 7, 8)balls for each size correspondingly for Air Drops or 4 (5, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10) for Lana Gatto Super Soft

Knitting skills (experienced): all basic knitting stitches and abbreviations, reading charts, reverse stockinette stitch, arans (we will use cable needle), 3-needle bind-off, nupps, picking up stitches for sleeves and neck band - though there are short videos for the mentioned techniques, due to the amount of complex elements the process requires a lot of attention and patience, that’s why I don’t recommend this pattern to beginners.

Knitting needles: 4 mm US 6 – on a 60 cm 24” cord and DPNs for sleeves; 3 mm US 2 ½ - on a 60 cm 24”
cord and DPNs for sleeves or any to obtain the gauge.
If you don’t meet the gauge on 4 mm needles, please, change them as gauge is important in this pattern.

Additional notions: sewing needle (to hide loose ends), cable needle, 4 stitch holders (can be substituted by pieces of scrap yarn), scissors, stitch markers, a crochet hook if you prefer to make nupps with a crochet hook.

The pattern is written in English only.
