A simple striped accessory set. The mittens feature a contrast-color seed-stitch cuff and contrast color stripes. They have gusset thumb shaping. The slouch-style hat has a contrast color seed-stitch brim, with contrast color stripes and an easy-wearing casual fit. Note that instructions for BOTH the mittens and hat are included in this single pattern.

You will need approximately 125-175 yards of each of two colorways to knit the pattern as written, depending on the size combination you choose. The yarn used for the sample knits up to a light DK/sportweight gauge. This project would also be great for using up small scrap amounts of a similar-gauge yarn.

Suggested Skills: Knit and purling in the round, simple increases.
