A long ribbed and cable-patterned wrap which can be worn as a large scarf or a narrow shawl. Each end is worked in ribbing, which changes to a cabled pattern for the main body of the piece. The edges are bordered with a seed stitch and eyelet pattern. This piece is worked from one short end to the other.

Suggested Skills: Knit, purl, yarn-over and decreases. Basic chart-reading skills; this pattern is not written out. It is provided in chart form only.

If you choose to substitute yarn, pick a yarn without much halo so that the cables and patterning will show up nicely. The Freya DK works up at a light DK/sportweight gauge. While gauge is not critical for this project, it may affect the amount of total yardage needed to work the project as written.
