My OH asked me to knit him a laptop case with an Apple logo in it - before I knew it, I had designed one for him and created an interactive pattern for a case to fit any rectangular object.

I have been unable to specify that any type of yarn and any size needle can be used on Ravelry; however, this is true. You simply input your chosen yarn weight, needle size and tension, as well as gadget size, into the table and the pattern generates for you!

The yardage is also calculated for you; however, this does depend on the accuracy of your tension, and I have added 10% extra as a result to give you a guideline that will hopefully mean you don’t run out of yarn.
