Cwtch is Welsh for cuddle but the word means something a little more snugly and warm than a cuddle alone. When you ‘cwtch up’ you snuggle up warm and safe with someone you love. This warm comforting shawl is perfect for a little secret cwtch when you find yourself alone. Knit sideways with an old shale edging, it’ll keep you safe from the nasty cold weather too!

This pattern uses short rows and a simple lace. The instructions are written out in longhand as well as presented in standard pattern language to aid beginners.
