I’m sure this is how it goes for most paleontologists. Playing with a long length of ribbing that folded in on itself, I accidentally discovered pterodactyl wings. Pink ones.
Not fit for flight, they’re actually a teeny shawlette knit with one skein of Malabrigo Merino Worsted in the lipsticky shade called Geranio. A point at the back neck gives it a depth of just 8.5 in/22 cm and the wingspan is a cute 44/112.
With just 16 rows of ribbing, and finished with short rows, this project flies by. Heh heh.
