This is an intermediate level pattern but could also be knit by an advanced beginner. The yarn used to knit the original hat is now discontinued but any aran weight yarn would be suitable.
Please note* for anyone who printed out the pattern before Jan.23/2009 please note that for the toddler size pattern, after the garter band is knit with the 3.75mm needle you then switch to the 4.5mm needle. It is now corrected in the original pattern. Sorry for any inconvenience.
