The look of knitted lace is something I love. Using larger needles to open up the stitches and lots of yarn-overs to add even more air seems really counter-intuitive at first. But once the piece is complete, and put on the blocking wires, the lace becomes eye-popping gorgeous!

Lace looks a lot harder than it is. Weightless and airy, Dahlia will delight the wearer. But for the knitter using just a 12 row repeat for the main section and edging section makes this petal shaped lace shawl a pleasure to knit. Select a beautiful spring or summer color to make this shawl your go to piece on cool evenings out on the town.
