This long, sexy pair of fingerless mitts features a Japanese mock-cable and lace stitch that is both unique. It results in a lovely, feminine long fingerless opera glove pattern. These will allow you to text, type and knit in style and warmth. The placement of the thumb gusset insures maximum movement and comfort

These mitts are knit using two circular needles, and the stitches are charted only.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a basic knowledge of knitting, purling, and lace knitting). Note: This is one of my easier of the long knit fingerless mitt patterns, so it is a very good one to start on.

The mitts shown in the sample was made with Fiesta’s Baby Boom, in colorway, Silouette Blue, and was expertly test knitted by Kristen Butman who can be reached at: kmb34me@ hotmail.com. A very good yarn substitution would be Cascade Heritage 150, which is readily available/ The mitts require only one skein of the Cascade yarn, and is knit on a U.S. #3 needle.
