This twee little sweater is just the thing for little damsels. Embossed dragonfly lace motifs based off of Barbara Walker’s lovely honeybee pattern adorn the lower body, circular yoke, and each sleeve cuff of the sweater, while simple stockinette make the rest a quick, easy knit. Picot hems created with a simple, no-sew closure method provide tidy, frilly edges and a feminine touch to the lightweight fabric. I-cord ties hold the fronts together without fussy buttoning.

The original sweater was designed for baby Z, and is modeled in Sanguine Gryphon Bugga!. The second sample is knit in Malabrigo Arroyo.

Gauge above is on US3s; gauge on US5s should be 26.5 sts and 32 rows over 4 in (10 cm) in dragonfly lace pattern.
