This cardigan provides some warmth for cool summer nights, but, since the fronts don’t meet, you can still show off your favorite top underneath. This casual version knits up quickly and easily, with unique construction methods that will hold your interest.

Yarn Classic Elite Seedling (100% organic cotton): #4595 prune, 7 (8, 8, 9, 10, 10, 11, 12) balls.

Needles Size 7 (4.5 mm): 32” circular and set of double-pointed. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions Size G/6 (4 mm) crochet hook; waste yarn; markers; removable markers; tapestry needle.

Gauge 20 sts and 30 rows = 4” in St st; 20 sts and 42 rows = 4” in garter st.

Notes The upper back of this sweater begins at the center with a provisional cast-on and is worked from side to side. Stitches are picked up along the bottom edge, and the body is worked back and forth in rows from the top down.
