Dan the Man Hat
My Dad is a very particular shopper. He’s the kind of guy who finds a pair of shoes he likes, & then buys 6 pairs so that he makes sure he has backup for 10 years down the road. He’s got a simple, classic style that doesn’t deal with much fuss, & he very rarely wears hats. But everyone needs a hat - especially in cold Midwest winters! So I made him the most simple yet tailored hat I could think of. It’s snug, reversible, warm, & perfect for the hard to shop for man in your life. Bonus - knit up in springy wool, this hat can fit any adult sized head!
SIZING
– One size; to fit adult head (20”-24” circumference)
– Finished circumference: 16.5”
– Finished height (brim to tip of crown): 8”
– NOTE: all measurements are taken after blocking
FIBER
– Approximately 100 yards worsted weight yarn
– Sample: Malabrigo Rios, Tormenta (1 skein); merino wool superwash
– NOTE: I highly recommend knitting up this hat in a 100% wool yarn or a yarn with at least 90% wool - it relies on the stretch & springiness of wool
