These crazy cozy slouch socks will keep your feet and ankles warm as you rock the night away. They’re perfect for wearing under boots or with a pair of sneakers or flats and leggings if you’re into that sort of thing like I am.

The sole of the foot is worked in reverse stockinette. This was done for two reasons: aesthetic and wearability. I thought the contrast of stockinette and reverse stockinette added to the look of the sock by bringing the purl stitches from the ankle down to the foot. From a more practical light, having reverse stockinette on the sole means you feel the flat knit stitches against the ball of your foot, which means added comfort when working with heavier yarns.
