The Dandelion is my youngest daughter’s favorite flower, and through her eyes I see them as wild and beautiful. Traditional cable knits evoke the same sense of wildness to me, and conjure up images of desolate moors or cold grey waters in far away places that remain untamed

Inspired by the style and tradition of the Gansey Fisherman’s Sweater, ‘Dandelion’ is constructed using worsted weight yarn, knit on slightly smaller needles (as a nod to the very tightly knit Gansey).

The result is a slightly oversized wrap that can be worn as an outer layer in the fall or as an extra layer of warmth over your coat in the winter.

Finished Size: Total length from point to each end about 50”

I write all of my patterns with all levels of knitters in mind. The cables for Dandelion are not only charted, but the pattern is fully written out as well, so if you don’t like to read charts, you can just follow the written instructions instead!
