Wind-blown dandelion seeds drift by on this decorative runner. The central motif of the Dandelion Runner is worked first; then the stitches are picked up along the edges to create a sturdy Linen Stitch border.

The Dandelion motif can be worked in a combination of stranded and Intarsia knitting, where the CC is wrapped around the MC every row at the edges of the design, but is stranded with the MC over the more detailed portions. Smaller areas of color can be worked in Intarsia or duplicate stitched on afterwards.
