The Dandelion and Twisting Vines Shawlette is a crescent-shaped and solid lace shawlette with optional border beading that is worked from the top down. The fresh spring green colored yarn I knit this in reminded me of a field of grass with dandelions sprouting up in it when I saw how the beads dotted the border. I used only one skein (360 yards) of Madelinetosh’s Pashmina sport weight yarn in the Thyme shade. There are 2 lace patterns in the shawlette, with one in the body, and another one at the border. The lace used for the body is mirrored between the left and right sides. Fully blocked, it measures almost 6 feet in length, and 20 inches at its center, deepest point. Complete row by row written instructions, stitch counts and charts are included in the pattern.
