A lovely jumper for the toddler or the wee child. There is a littele buttoned split on the back to ease the dressing.The pattern is worked from chart to make the right placements of the squares.
Material: our NOTO, 50 % linen/50% cotton, 150 – 150 g (5 oz) in col. A and a bit of each colour B, C and D. Or 2 – 2 balls of our ALCAMO, 100 % mercerized Egyptan cotton, in col. A and a bit of the tip colours.
1 ball of ALCAMO = 100 g (3 ½ oz).
Accessories: 2 small buttons.
Needles: no 2 ½ and 3 mm (UK 12 and 11)(US 1 ½ and 3), a circular needle no 2 ½ mm
Tension: 23 sts in stocking sts = 10 cm (4 in).
Ribbing: 1st row: knit 2, purl 1 alternately. 2nd and all following rows: work the sts as they show.
Pattern: an easy and simple knitting in stocking sts with squares in garter sts from chart.
Tecnics: garter sts: knit all rows. Stocking sts: knit right side rows, purl wrong side rows. Stocking sts in reverse: purl right side rows, knit wrong side rows. Button holes: cast off without knitting 1 st, then cast on 3 sts. On the next row purl the first new sts tog with the sts just before the button hole and purl the last of the new sts tog with the following sts.
