This is an advanced beginner/intermediate crochet pattern written in US terms. I used Lion Brand Color Made Easy. Each skein is 247 yards, 100% acrylic, and is a bulky 5 weight.

The Daphne cowl is a hood cowl available in 3 size options and follows along in the pattern for S/M/L (XL/2XL/3XL), (4XL/5XL/6XL).

S/M/L/: Panel height 15.5 inches, panel at widest & cowl height 15 inches, width 16.5 inches, total height 31 inches.
Yardage: 650 yards.

XL/2XL/3XL: Panel height 17.5 inches, panel at widest 20 inches,
Cowl height 15 inches, cowl width 16.5 inches, total height 33 inches.
Yardage: 800 yards.

4XL/5XL/6XL: Panel height 19.5 inches, panel at widest 24.5 inches,
Cowl height 15 inches, cowl width 20 inches, total height 35 inches.
Yardage: 970 yards.

It made up of two identical panels making up the front and back that use a lace pattern called the Sultan ST. You can view the chart for the panels on page 4. Once the panels are made they are joined together by single crochets along the top to make the hooded cowl.

Fringe is added at the end and highly recommended it. It helps to pull down the lace of the panels.
