Pattern description from Knitting Little Luxuries: “This purse was inspired by the wonderful embroidered straw bags popular in the 1950s. The yarn, a blend of linen, silk and cotton, reminds me of golden straw. The herringbone stitch pattern makes the bag dense like a woven fabric and very strong and hard-wearing. I love the three dimensional flowers, which bring this piece to life.”
