Dappled Shawlette
The simple textured eyelet stitch pattern on this neck-down triangular shawl is the perfect match for Charlemont Hand Dyed. It’s neither too busy nor too plain, and the wrong side looks great, too! The classic, knitted-on edging finishes the shawl neatly.
Finished Measurements:
about 44” wide and 22” long after blocking
Yarn:
1 skein Valley Yarns Charlemont Hand Dyed by the Kangaroo Dyer (60% Fine Superwash Merino/20% Mulberry Silk/20% Polyamide, 100 grams/439 yds) color Oak Grove
Needles:
US size 6 (4.0mm) 24” circular needle or size needed to get gauge
Other materials:
Stitch markers
Gauge:
22 sts and 30 rows = 4” in Stockinette Stitch before blocking
NOTE
After Row 6 of the Eyelet Section, the pattern should read:
Rep Rows 1-6 for a total of 14 repeats: 223 sts on needle. Knit one row, dec 1 st to 222 sts and remove markers as you come to them.
