The idea for the Darby knitting pattern was sparked by the Garter Ridge Stitch. It is so striking, but yet so easy using a 2-row pattern repeat.
-100% cotton
-Machine wash & dry
-36 inches x 36 inches
-Soft and comfortable for baby
-Easy knit & purl stitches

This Darby blanket was pure pleasure to knit. It has a soothing, easy rhythm using only knit and purl stitches. It is a great piece to knit while listening to music. I knitted the first sample of this design at a knitting retreat with 35+ knitters chatting…that’s how easy this pattern is to knit! I chose 100% cotton for this blanket. It is soft on tender baby skin and washes and dries easily. Darby is a pattern you will want to knit again and again.

The Darby baby blanket is knitted by holding 2 strands of the cotton yarn together throughout the project.

Blanket is knitted flat, back & forth on circular needles. The circular needles hold the large number of stitches.
