What am I missing?
Dark Princess Skirt
Who said that crochet skirts are boring? This one certainly isn’t.
It’s a really wide skirt that will swing beautifully when dancing and it is wide enough to be worn over a petticoat. But I’m sure it would look just as good in a bright colour worn over a contrasting, simple underskirt.
Materials needed:
~ 250 g fingering weight wool (for skirt as shown above, different sizes might need more yarn)
7 mm crochet hook
darning needle
~ 2 m of satin ribbon or icord to close the skirt
The pattern uses American crochet terms
Size: one size with instructions how to adjust it to your measurements (shown in M)
I wanted a crochet skirt that would look good with my goth outfit and especially my corset - but none of the patterns I saw where exactly what I wanted. So I just started to make my own and came up with this pattern.
I hope you like it
This skirt is made with a rather big hook for the yarn to make it really lightweight and airy
Every fingering weight yarn with wool should be fine, be careful with non-wool yarns as they don’t block as much as wool. You might have to experiment with sizes then.
