This gorgeous cami is knitted from the top down. The waistline is worn low and worked with short row shaping to create shape at this point.

The pattern is re-worked from a 1932 design, originally published in Woman and Home magazine. From the original pattern notes: “Knitted in shetland wool, these cami-bockers fit closely and warmly to the figure. They have ribbon shoulder-straps so that they can be work with day or evening dress”.

Additional materials:

  • 3 yards (3 metres) of quarter-inch (0.75cm) wide ribbon
  • 5 half-inch (1cm) diameter mother of pearl buttons

Errata:
In working the lace panels, all lines of lacework should read ‘repeat 9 times’ for the lace pattern instead of 8.
