What am I missing?
Darling Darby Sweater
Updated June 26, 2011 - now includes fill-in-the-blank places for your calculations & improved step-by-step directions.
Sizing is based on your dog’s measurements and your gauge (yes, you should make a gauge swatch), so there is some measuring & math - nothing hard and examples are included. If your dog is like mine, the hardest measurement to take is the shoulder - they want to help. The more accurate the shoulder measurement the better the neck/shoulder fit will be. Be sure to measure from the dog’s backbone between their shoulder blades (where their neck joins their body) to just behind & below their front ‘armpit’. Add your chosen ease to that measurement for the final shoulder length figure. If the neck pulls down, the shoulder measurement is too short.
