One of the most famous movie villains of all time, Darth Vader is known for his striking costume, epic orchestral theme, and deep, authoritative voice. One of the key villains of Episodes IV–VI, in the Prequel Trilogy we learn the details of Vader’s youth as Anakin Skywalker, a powerful Jedi who is ultimately seduced to the dark side by Darth Sidious. Left for dead by Obi-Wan Kenobi on the volcanic planet of Mustafar in Revenge of the Sith, Anakin is taken to Coruscant, where his mangled body is replaced with machine parts. Imprisoned inside a helmet and black armor with a central control panel on the torso keeping him on life support, Vader emerges as the brutal enforcer for the Empire and all-around bad guy audiences know and love.

Now you can channel Vader’s power with this magnificent pullover inspired by his armor’s control panel. Knit in the round from the top down, the yoke is knit in a traditional stranded colorwork technique. After dividing the body and sleeves, the torso is worked in a solid color to the bottom hem, then the sleeves are picked up and knit in stockinette in the round to the cuffs. The utility belt and control panel are duplicate stitched onto the front for a maximum evil effect.
