Inspired by the brightly colored trumpet vine flowers (commonly known at Angel’s Trumpet), this lightweight top is knit from the top (neck) down to the bottom hem. It features raglan shaping and short sleeves, with a faux wrap top, and a pretty delicate lace pattern for the body. The neckline is trimmed with an easy knit-on picot edging.

The sample is shown in size 34” with minimal positive ease. If you’d prefer a slightly looser fit (or prefer to use this as a layering piece), choose a size with 1” or more of positive ease. You may also choose to block the lace pattern more severely to create a subtle A-line shape. (The sample was left minimally blocked for maximum stretchiness.) The torso length is easily adapted by adding more or less repeats of the lace pattern.

Suggested skills: Knit/purl, working in the round and back and forth, basic chart-reading skills for the lace section.
