Looking for a quick pretty knit? This cowl fits the bill. It was made using one skein of Yarn in the Box Ewe Dazzle. 100% wool with a super fine filament strand. It used all of the 265 yds/242 m (4 oz/ 114 gr). It is is worked in the round starting with garter stitch then changing to a reversible Herringbone Lace stitch. The 4 stitch repeat pattern is easily memorized and creates a nice rhythmic knitting experience. A small stockinette stitch section serves two distinct purposes. It begins with an increase in the number of stitches creating a ruche style ruffle in the middle of the cowl and it creates a break in the lace pattern. The cowl ends with more garter stitch and a decorative loop bind off created by working multiple stitches in a single yarn over. The finishing touch is an optional Icord flower with button center. It allows you to use every bit of the yarn and creates a nice accent. A photo tutorial is included to show how the flower was made.
