There are so many ways to crochet an oval shape. Knowing how to crochet the basic oval shapes would be useful for so many of your Oval Based Crochet Projects. Today am sharing the basic Double Crochet Oval Pattern which I use to make most of my Oval based crochet projects.

You can use this basic pattern to make Rugs… Placemats…Bags …Doilies!!!! The base is worked in rounds , by making a slip stitch at end of each round. You can just change the starting number of stitches to suit it according to your crochet project.
