Deal with It
A pattern to make a fun dispenser for a roll of doggy poo bags. Shit really does happen! This will put a smile on your face as you “Deal With It”
Only very small amounts of 4ply yarn are needed. It is ideal for using up those precious little leftovers you’ve saved. Be creative with your colour schemes; just be sure to use strongly contrasting colours.
The pattern starts with a circular base, then the sides of the dispenser are knit in the round, following the stranded colourwork chart.
Half way up, a hole for the poo bags to emerge from is created, using a spare piece of yarn which is later removed to leave live stitches. It is the method used to create an “ afterthought” thumb when knitting mittens.
A ribbed top featuring a row of holes for threading a drawstring cord through finishes the top of the holder. Instructions are included for an optional beaded picot cast off, for a bit of bling!
The roll of poobags is held in place and allowed to pivot by a loop of cord attached to the circular base and threaded through the central tube of the bag roll. A lightweight carabiniere of the sort used on keyrings clips to this loop, and acts both to keep the bag roll in place, and to fix the holder to a dog lead or bag.
