Notes
~ The pattern begins by knitting the sleeves first, which are then set aside as you make the body from the bottom up. The body and sleeves are joined in one piece as you work the yoke.

~ The pattern is written for you to choose different body length styles. “Regular” length is 33 cm / 13 inches or your own desired length depending on how many rows you work after the short-row section. “Cropped” length is 18 cm / 7 inches, as there are no extra rows worked after the short-row section.

~ The back neck of the cardigan is raised using a gusset method which is worked after the sleeves are joined to the body. The use of grafting will be required in the finishing to close the openings left at the underarms and side of gusset.

~ When working each sleeve, choose the type of needle that works best for you for knitting a small circumference. I used Double Pointed Needles (DPNs). Other methods include Magic Loop, extra short circular needle, two circular needles etc

~ Pattern is written using the Wrap and Turn Short-row method only. Other methods for working short-rows may be substituted at your own discretion.

~ Buttonholes are made after the completion of cardigan, by using an “afterthought” buttonhole method (Tutorial link here!). You may wish to work the buttonholes as you knit using a method of your choosing, but please be aware the pattern does not include instructions for this.

~ You can choose how many buttons to use based on your preference. I used 4 buttons for the cropped version and 6 buttons for the regular length version.

~ Seam binding or ribbon is recommended to be hand sewn into the neck of cardigan to prevent the neck from stretching out over time. This step is optional. Tip: If you do this step, I suggest choosing a ribbon or binding that is super cute or at least something you find aesthetically pleasing since you may see it if you leave the top buttons undone while wearing ;)

~ A few test knitters noted that they had to lengthen their sleeves. The sleeve length in the pattern is 43 cm / 17 inches, which is an average length based on the Craft Yarn Council sizing standards. Please knit your sleeves to your desired length and be advised that you may require extra yardage if you lengthen
