“The grandest thing has been the lifting up of the gates and the opening of the doors to the women of America, giving liberty to twenty-seven million women, thus opening to them a new and larger life and a higher ideal.”
-Olympia Brown

Dearborn has boldly wide sleeves and a great boxy flowing shape that make it a fun statement piece. It layers perfectly over the Mile Road Tank, or a simple short - or long - sleeved tee, and there’s plenty of room at the arms to wear that great pair of long mitts that you’ve been wanting to knit. Dearborn is knit bottom up in one piece, and then the sleeves are picked up and knit top down in the round.

Overflowing with twelve beautiful designs featuring local indie yarn dyers and stunning views of the Michigan landscape, this issue is our largest yet! The knitting patterns include a hat, socks, shawls, and sweaters, and range from fingering weight to worsted and from beginner to advanced. Fall in love with Michigan from the comfort of your home; explore the region with us as you turn the pages, meet the local indie dyers, and pick a new project to cast on.
