Art Deco “…an assertively modern style that ran to symmetry rather than asymmetry, and to the rectilinear rather than the curvilinear…” Wikipedia

Art Nouveau …“a style of fine and applied art current in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, characterized chiefly by curvilinear motifs.” The Free Dictionary.com

Deco Meets Nouveau, a toe up sock pattern, plays with the symmetry and clean lines of Art Deco design and the organic curves of Art Nouveau in a visually interesting mix. The pattern has options for a plain or reinforced heel and generic or custom foot length. Bavarian twisted stitch and yarn over lace work cover instep and encircle leg. The heel flap is done in twisted stitch ribbing. Video tutorials for techniques sited.
