This hat was inspired by some stunning art-deco
wallpaper – the tiny trees making a simple but effective
overall pattern. Make yours in bold contrasts or maybe go
subtle with a dark and light shade of one colour.

This hat is knitted using the mosaic technique. Mosaic knitting is colourwork that uses one colour per row, with the
pattern being produced by slipped stitches. It is much simpler than it looks. Wrong side rows are even easier – you just
purl all stitches in the colour you are working with and slip the rest.

Instructions are given in both written and charted forms.
