Stockinette-stitch rectangles intersect along diagonal lines in the Decussate Pullover. The resulting fabric is lattice-like, with diamonds of reverse stockinette stitch filling in the negative space. The deep dolman sleeves give this sweater a relaxed silhouette, which is complemented by the cropped hem and split collar.

NOTES

  • This pullover is worked back and forth from the bottom up in two separate pieces and seamed.

  • The chart shows three full repeats of the pattern. The extra stitches can help to visualize how to work new stitches into the pattern when increasing; you can even draw the increase lines onto the chart. Make copies of the chart and paste them beside or above each other to visualize a larger area.

  • A circular needle is used to accommodate the large number of stitches.
