This super simple shawl is based on the traditional Grandmother’s Favorite wash-cloth pattern, with a clever bind-off to create a simple bottom-up triangle with no spine in the middle. Mindless and soothing, it is the perfect tv or travel knitting.

The suggested yarn is self-striping and super soft sock yarn, but 100 grams of any sockweight yarn will work. A heavier shawl in worsted weight will require more yardage and larger needles but no other changes in the instructions.
