Into the woods these socks take you, where thick roots wriggle through the ground and dark leaves cast mysterious shadows. Cuff-down knits with slightly mid-calf height, a traditional heel, wide toe and a magical cable and leaves pattern ensnaring your feet.

SIZES
The pattern provides instructions to knit socks with EU sizes between 36 to 43 (UK 3-10; US 6-12). An additional chart helps determing the right size.

NEEDLES
If you knit with a normal sock yarn (420m or yds/100 g), better use 2.25 mm (US 1) needles. The GAUGE then will be 30 sts /42 rows.

The sample socks have been made with DPNS and the pattern is written for knitting with dpns.

However, if you have experience with knitting socks in the magic loop you can also do that, but the pattern will not provide extra information to special techniques needed for the magic loop. Also, there might be some troubles picking up stitches after the heel turn when knitting in the magic loop.

YARN
Sample socks: Size EU 38/39
