Columns of gentle ruching are set off by curved fronts, all created by combining double knitting with stockinette and garter.

The basic pattern is sections of stockinette alternating with sections of double knitting. This creates the ruched or quilted effect. The fronts have an additional section where the stitches change from garter to double knitting, creating a slanted edge at the center front.
