I wanted to capture that feeling of playing in the rain as a child… the lightness, innocence, and pure joy.  The fingering weight version of the shawl is light and drapey… more of a delicate spring rain or afternoon shower.  The DK weight shawl is a bit more of a heavy rain or sturdy storm.  What are your memories of rain?  Are the clouds light and airy or dark and ominous?  Is the rain heavy and thick or light and misty?  How would you use this memory to shape your shawl?
