Delmonico is a delicate cowl that combines rows of detailed lace “leaves” with a simple garter stitch and rib motif.

To create Entwined, Kristine of AVFKW combined camelid alpaca and merino for a fiber that’s just stunning. With a lofty hand, a subtle crimp in the thread and a pale, beautiful amethyst color, it makes a perfect spring fabric.

This lace just enhanced the feminine, airy mood that the Entwined led me towards. The leaves are distinct and geometric - but still delicate, and when transitioned into a simple textured rib, the play between the cowl sections allows the rustic quality of the yarn and the subtle shading of color in the fiber to stand out beautifully.
