Desert Star is beautiful afghan that can be made to complement any decor. Features solid granny squares and easy half-n-half squares that make this pattern really shine. Motifs are made individually and sewn together using your favorite method of joining. Make a baby size blanket, a couch throw, or even a bedspread sized afghan. Desert Star comes in a square version and a rectangle version.

Yarn needed: Worsted/Aran weight yarn in at least two colors, one light and one dark. The example pictured used Red Heart Super Saver in Tea Leaf, light Sage, Frosty Green, Green Tones, Medium Purple, Orchid, Pale Plum and Purple Tones for the dark colors and Aran for the light color. You could use all one color for the darks and all one color for the lights, or use multiple darks and multiple lights.

Completed squares are 3.75”, 4.75”, or 7”
