Devils Garden is a lacy kerchief-style cowl knit seamlessly in the round. It features a twisted diamond lace section on a simple background of stockinette. This pattern is suitable for adventurous beginner lace knitters; the lace is both written out and charted.

One size fits all, blocked cowl measures 24” wide at the neck, 37” wide at the border and 16” in length along the column of increases. Devils Garden requires 400 yards of sport weight. It’s pictured here in Blue Moon Fiber Arts’ Socks that Rock Mediumweight, in the Saffron Jungle color.

This cowl is named for the Devils Garden hike at Arches National Park. The hike winds through seven miles of red rock desert, over beautiful sandstone fins and arches carved out by wind, water and time.
