Devon Cardigan
Devon is a hip-length cardigan, knit in one piece on circular needles. The sleeves are knit in the round, keeping sewing to an absolute minimum. Contrasting stripes and a simple lace pattern (only 2 rows per repeat!!), based on the Traditional Old Shale stitch, adds interesting texture. Stitches used to create the lace pattern include knit two together and yarnovers along with knit and purl stitches. Easy Peasy! The cardigan has a shawl collar and wide buttonband edging which adds additional textural interest. A simple short row technique is used to create the shawl collar.
