Devon is a warm and cozy snood that that will not only keep you protected from the chill, but also keep you dressed in style.

Aran knit has always been a favorite of mine, but there’s a tiny problem when it comes to a scarf - the cable stitches are not reversible. To solve this problem, I decided to make a tubular scarf - this way only the right side of the cable stitches will be visible when wrapped around the neck. This snood is designed to have ample volume and width. It can also be pulled up and worn as a hood to shield your head from the wind- if you don’t want a snug hat to mess up your hair - a cool and trendy alternative for a beanie hat.

With the classical look of Aran knit, Devon is knitted in cables on the sides and Aran diamonds in the center. A worsted weight yarn in 100% wool works beautifully here for the texture and contrasts of the different stitches.
