-This shawl pattern is actually written to include directions for fingering weight/sock weight yarn, DK weight and worsted weight yarn. See below for the gauges for the DK and worsted weight yarns.

-The Orange shawl is fingering/sock weight yarn, the black shawl is DK weight, and the blue shawl is worsted weight.

-You will start at the top back center neck of the shawl and work to the bottom edge of the shawl and then bind off loosely. Even the loose bind off directions are included in the pattern.

-Shaping into the semi-circle is done by increases, strategically placed in the shawl. No short rows.

-The shaping allows the shawl to sit nicely on your, or the wearer’s, shoulders.

-DIRECTIONS are part written and part charted. The charts will show the lace repeats. For the lace, I have also written out the lace instructions should you prefer to read them.

Materials Yarn: Fingering Weight = 400 yards; DK weight = 384 yards; Worsted Weight = 440.

Needles: Size 10 US (5.75 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge.
Notions: stitch markers, row counter.
Gauge Fingering weight DK weight 14 sts and 20 rows; Worsted weight 11 sts and 22 rows = 4 inches in garter stitch.
Finished Size Fingering weight(orange one):49” x 21” down center back.
Light worsted/DK(black one) = 48” x 19 ½ “ down center back.
Worsted weight(blue one): 46” x 17 ½ “ down center back.
