68 page pattern for ladies Bias knitted sweater with lace, fairisle and garter stitch patterning.
Created in 4ply silk yarn(we used 3 strands of 2/30’s yarn in raw silk, and for the second colour used one strand of 2/32 raw silk). Any light 4ply or heavy 3ply could be used.
Intended for intermediate to advanced machine knitters, the pattern is written in one size (36”-38”, 91cm-97cm bust), some brief guidance on altering the size is included.
The pattern includes some great info on techniques, hints and tips for creating this garment and future projects.
Knitted neck down in four pieces, this pattern can be adapted in many ways.
Pieces are joined with a decorative cable effect, so only the underarm and side seams to sew! The neckline has fully fashioned “V”s back and front. The ribbing is finished with a hand bind off, this pattern also teaches some invaluable techniques for a professional finish!
We used a Brother 950i knitting machine with separate lace carriage and a G95 garter carriage, any standard gauge machine could be used, and the garter or lace patterns replaced with alternatives as desired, within the constraints of the pattern/needle availability etc.
The instructions are written as a row by row table, this gives increases, decreases and pattern type row by row plus a running total of stitch count and even tells you left/right/held needles!

Schematics are also included for you to create your own patterns or adapt the size!

The pattern is one size 36”-38”, 91cm-97cm bust.

Tensions were measured over stocking stitch using main yarn and gave 28 stitches and 38 rows to a 10cm square at a setting of ‘7’ on a Brother standard gauge machine. The garter carriage had a tension setting of ‘8’, ribs were knitted at tension ‘5’.
Ravelry will add tax at your local rate to this pattern cost.
