This bag looks well with a contrasting ruffle or same color ruffle. I used a purchased handle from a local craft store. The flap is buttoned to the body of the bag to keep it closed, but you could use a magnetic snap closure if you prefer. I like pockets, so there is a pocket in the center outside back of this bag. If you prefer a sturdier bottom to your bag, cut a piece of plastic canvas the size of the base of the bag and tack it in place between the inside of the bag and the lining.
