This pair of mittens won 2nd place in the Gloves Category, Handknitting Section of Creative Arts in Perth Royal Show, Western Australia’s largest annual community event.

“ The diamond motif and crystal beads create a pair of delicate mittens. The motif runs up along the top of the hand from the cuff to the fingers. These mittens were originally designed for Knitting Inspirations’ 2011 Retreat.”

The fingerless mittens are knitted in the round from the cuff up with an eyelet rib pattern. The diamond lace pattern runs up the center of the mitten and beads are added on to enhance the motif. There are gusset increases to accommodate the thumb. As it’s a simple diamond lace pattern, only written instructions are provided.

You will need 80 Size 6 beads.
