Have you ever tried interlocking filet crochet with thread? Now is your chance!

This interlocking filet crochet scarf was created by alternating the background and design colors in a color-block style with a string of diamonds running down the center. The scarf begins and ends with a lacey beaded fringe leaving the bottom edges of the contrasting color open until the floral design joins them together. Instructions are also provided to eliminate the beads if desired.

The Diamond Medallion Scarf is one of two patterns included in the Opposing Colors Scarf Set. The Checkered Floral Scarf is also included in this pattern set.

This pattern provides both row-by-row written instructions as well as a design chart for reference.

Since this pattern contains many diagonals to create the design, it is recommended for someone who is comfortable with the interlocking filet mesh technique.

If you haven’t tried diagonals on an interlocking filet mesh project yet, you can learn how on my YouTube Channel and follow along with my FREE Interlocking Snowflake Coaster pattern! You can also read about it on my blog!

Solid stitches and long diagonals are also used on this interlocking crochet project. You can also learn more about these stitches on my YouTube Channel and follow along with my FREE Blackwork-Style Squares pattern!
