This quilt is comprised of multi-colored diamonds that are “mined” or knitted individually and then sewn together. This knitting project is ultra satisfying to work on because each mined diamond brings with it the contentment and exuberance of a completed project, while simultaneously bringing the knitter one step closer to completing a much larger, grander, and even more satisfying project--the beautiful quilt itself!

The finished quilt is flexible and delightfully squishy. It’s super warm and heavenly soft to the touch. You can make the quilt as large or small as you wish. The pattern is easy to memorize, so you can even mine your diamonds on the go--and take the stress out of waiting in line, the boredom out of riding public transport, and the dread out of waiting for an appointment or delayed flight. The perfect quick project, each of the little diamonds is unique and lovely in its own way. I mined 50 diamonds for the quilt featured in the photos, and my dogs have stolen it all for themselves. They now take turns sleeping and lounging on it non-stop!

You may knit your quilt in any colors that you choose, and sew it together in a couple of different patterns. This listing comes with a free bonus pattern--a fun diamond shaped Christmas ornament with an i-cord loop to hang it by.

Please Note: The yardage listed in the pattern (30 yards) is for a single knitted diamond. This is so that one can easily estimate the yardage needed for a quilt of any size.
