This is a Civil War-era pattern for a pair of wrist warmers knitted in a primitive short-row technique that yields a diamond pattern. It appeared in Godey’s Lady’s book in December 1863. I’ve transcribed the pattern and would be happy to email it to anyone who’s interested, but it’s not perfect enough yet to be listed as a free download. It still needs further testing and corrections.
